Enjoy Peace of Mind in a New Honda Vehicle
Here at Keyes Cars, we’re always happy to take drivers out for a test
drive in a brand new Honda vehicle. Drivers know that the Honda brand has been making
dependable, fun-to-drive vehicles for decades, but they’re still blown away
once they get behind the wheel of a new 2017
Honda automobile. Part of the automaker's quest for perfection is their
dedication to creating safe, secure vehicles that help you avoid collisions,
and keep you and yours safe in the event that a collision does occur.
The Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) is an
impressive innovation that utilizes a millimeter wave radar sensor to monitor
vehicle traffic ahead. The system issues a warning sound if it senses an
impending collision, and can actually bring your Honda vehicle to a stop if it
determines that the collision is unavoidable. Are you a big fan of using cruise
control? Then you’ll love the brand’s Adaptive Cruise Control, which allows you to
set and maintain a specified following interval, freeing you from having to
manually adjust your speed along the highway.
Road Departure Mitigation provides further peace of mind. This feature
kicks in when you’re traveling between 45 and 90 mph. If RDM senses that you’re
getting too close to the side of the detected roadway without your turn signal
on, the system gets your attention with rapid steering wheel vibrations. If
that doesn’t work, it can apply steering torque and braking to right your path.
The Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) works in a similar manner to
help keep you in the center of a detected lane.
Come in to our dealership in Van
Nuys, CA to learn more about the Honda Sensing™ suite of driver-assistive
technologies. And be sure to check out our Honda vehicle specials while you’re here.

features without taking your hands off the steering wheel. Swipe and select the
features on the panoramic 12.3-inch center screen with your right thumb, and

3D maps, live traffic, Yelp searching, and more.

turn-signal lever.

Drive Like You Mean It in the 2017 Lexus IS
What does the 2017 Lexus
IS have that your current ride doesn’t? A track-tuned chassis, tested
and fine-tuned on six of the world’s most iconic racetracks, including the Fuji
speedway. The performance enhancements designed by Lexus as a result of all
that testing provide you with a visceral connection to the road that you’ve got
to experience for yourself. And what better place to do that than at Keyes
Cars?
Okay, so you might be wondering what
exactly we mean by “performance enhancements.” First up, the 2017 Lexus IS is
built using innovative laser-screw welding techniques, a special adhesive
bonding process, and varied panel thicknesses. That all adds up to a rigid
body, providing better handling and control. The car also sports a longer
wheelbase and wider track than previous models, which adds agility and
stability to this impressive automobile. And then there’s the double-wishbone
suspension system, which offers greater sway rigidity in the front, along with
the multi-link rear suspension, which helps to increase grip.
Drive Mode Select gives you the power to
get the most out of your Lexus IS, no matter what type of drive you’re in the
mood for. Eco Mode moderates throttle response and engine power output for
better fuel efficiency. Normal Mode provides the perfect balance of fuel
efficiency and engine performance. And then there’s Sport S Mode, which alters
the powertrain to deliver faster gear changes and more dynamic throttle
mapping. The 2017 Lexus IS 350 F Sport even boasts a Sport S+ Mode that reduces
body lean and further tightens the suspension.
Want to see what the 2017 Lexus IS can
do? Head in to our dealership near Santa Monica, CA today. We’ve got plenty of brand-new Lexus vehicles to buy or
lease.

Honda Clarity Vehicle Line Expands
One of the Honda brand’s great strengths as an
automaker is the drive to stay on the cutting edge of the automotive industry.
The company displayed that commitment to lead when they launched the 2017 Honda
Clarity Fuel Cell at the end of 2016. At the 2017 New York
International Auto Show earlier this month, they upped the ante once again with
the debut of the all-new 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid and the 2017 Honda
Clarity Electric.
Steve Center, vice president of the
Connected and Environmental Business Development Office at American Honda,
discussed the importance of the Honda Clarity vehicle line to the automaker’s
overall plan and direction: "Electrification is the future of mobility and
the future of Honda, and it all starts now with this new Clarity series.”
Each Honda Clarity vehicle sports a low,
wide aerodynamic body with unique design elements and differentiated front
styling. Inside, each vehicle in the line offers comfortable seating for five
adults. The vehicle interiors feature premium, environmentally responsible
materials. That’s all well and good, but how do they drive? You’ll be happy to
know that Honda Clarity vehicles provide smooth, quiet, highly refined driving
experience thanks to the seamlessness of electric drive torque and
acceleration. A full suite of Honda Sensing™ safety and driver-assistive
technologies rounds out the incredible technology on display in these
next-generation vehicles.
The 2018 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid is
expected to deliver a 42-mile all-electric driving range, with the ability to
utilize a hyper-efficient 1.5-liter Atkinson cycle 4-cylinder engine to deliver
an overall driving range of more than 330 miles. As for the 2017 Honda Clarity
Electric, drivers will be able to fully charge the car in just over three hours
at 240 volts for an expected driving range of 120/102/111 MPGe
(city/highway/combined).

The New York International Auto Show is always a high point for the
auto industry, with new models making their debut and current models getting to
bask in the spotlight of new awards. One such model is the 2017 Toyota
Prius Prime, which was named the 2017 World Green Car. This is the second year in

title of World Green Car. The vehicles were evaluated on fuel consumption,
tailpipe emissions, and more, with an international jury panel comprised of 75
top-level automotive journalists from 23 countries around the world making the
final call. Jack Hollis, group vice president and general manager of Toyota

Keep New Drivers Safe with Chevy’s Teen Driver System
When it comes to new drivers,
“experience” is a word that gets tossed around a lot. Every driver needs
experience to know what to do on the road, but for parents, watching their
teenage drivers pull out of the driveway to get that experience is often a nerve-wracking
experience of its own. To help ease the anxieties of parents, and to offer a
helping hand to new drivers, the Chevy brand developed Teen Driver. This available
built-in system is a hands-on teaching tool that can help coach new drivers,
even when they’re on the road alone.
To get started, parents enter a PIN into
the Teen Driver menu on the available Chevrolet MyLink display. The next step
is to register a key. From then on, whenever your new driver enters the vehicle
with a registered key, whatever features you’ve selected will automatically be
enabled.
We’ve found that the first thing parents
tend to do is set a speed limit. From there, audible and visual warnings can be
customized for when the vehicle travels over that pre-selected speed. Another
great feature is audio limit, which allows a maximum volume to be set for the
car’s audio system. Music that’s too loud can distract even veteran drivers, so
helping teenagers keep things calm and quiet is a welcome capability.
The Teen Driver system is available on
most new Chevy
vehicles, including the 2017 Chevy
Malibu. Here at Keyes Cars, vehicle safety is not only a concern among our
drivers, it’s a top priority among the entire staff. To learn more about Teen
Driver, and the other safety systems and features available on our extensive
selection of new cars, head in to our dealership near Glendale, CA.

transfers engine torque to the rear wheels and applies braking force to the
inside rear wheel. For particularly slippery conditions, or when you’re out
off-roading, a driver-selectable AWD lock allows for a 50/50 split of available
torque between the front and rear wheels.
The 2017 Hyundai Tucson is just the tip
of the iceberg. There are plenty of great new Hyundai
SUVs waiting for the right driver here at our dealership near Beverly

Release Your Inner Driver in the 2017 Toyota Corolla
Remember when you got your learner’s
permit? Remember the first time you got behind the wheel of a car? And the
first time you were finally old enough and experienced enough to get behind
the wheel by yourself? Driving was fun back then, providing an undeniable
feeling of freedom and possibility. As you get older, and focus more on more on
the things you have to do when you get out of the car, the act of driving
becomes more humdrum. But in the 2017 Toyota
Corolla, driving is fun again. To see for yourself, head in to Keyes Cars
today.
Available on the 2017 Toyota Corolla SE,
XSE, and the 2017 Toyota
Corolla 50th Anniversary Edition, the sport button allows you to switch
into Sport Mode with ease. As soon as you push that button, the Engine Control
Unit and simulated shift points are adjusted to deliver a sportier ride to an
already agile automobile. Available paddle shifters are another great add-on,
giving you the ability to shift gears without ever letting go of the steering
wheel. With lightning fast gear changes at your fingertips, you can really sink
your teeth into the experience of driving. CVTi-S Valvematic technology not only delivers a smoother, more
in-control driving experience, it also boosts fuel efficiency so you can stay
on the road longer.
We love the
look and feel of the 2017 Toyota Corolla. Toyota Corolla SE, XSE, and 2017
Toyota Corolla 50th Anniversary Edition models in particular boast
an aggressive, redesigned front end. Standard Bi-LED headlights on all Toyota
Corolla models exude style day or night. And the Toyota Corolla is much more
than a pretty face. Its sporty design has been tested and honed in a wind
tunnel to deliver optimal aerodynamics.

Hyundai Enlists Special Effects Artists to Create Incredible Drivers
After a day of helping people find the
perfect vehicle at Keyes Cars, we like to put our feet up and watch a little
TV. “Face Off” on the Syfy channel is always a good time. The show features
special effects makeup artists battling to put together the coolest looks each
week for a chance to win a host of great prices, including a brand new Hyundai
Veloster. Each week, the artists are given a specific mandate, and earlier this
month, that mandate came from the Hyundai brand.
After six rough-and-tumble roadsters
cascaded over a hill to face the contestants, the show’s host emerged from a
Hyundai Veloster to tell them their task: Using Hyundai’s slogan—“We make
things better”—as inspiration, the artists would need to outfit the drivers
with looks worthy of their post-apocalyptic vehicles. With that, the drivers
were off and running, working spare car parts into their designs to give the
drivers looks that would fit nicely in a “Mad Max” movie.
While the Hyundai Veloster may not be
the perfect choice for an end-of-the-world battle royale, it’s got you covered
for just about everything else. You can head in to our dealership near Beverly
Hills, CA to take the 2016
Hyundai Veloster for a spin yourself. The Hyundai Veloster’s 1.6L gasoline direct
injection (GDI) engine is powerful and efficient. The Hyundai Veloster Turbo,
R-SPEC, and Rally Edition use the same advanced GDI technology, combined with
twin-turbo scroll and best-in-class power to weight ratio, for a satisfying
ride with a little extra “oomph.”
Then there’s the modified, sport-tuned
front suspension, featuring gas-filled hydraulic monotube shock absorbers. Add
in Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS), and you’ve got a sporty, responsive
vehicle to hit the streets in.
To unleash your inner driver and “make
the morning commute better,” be sure to head in to Keyes Cars today and check
out all of our new Hyundai
vehicles.

Enjoy Peace of Mind in the 2017 Honda Odyssey
If you’re on the hunt for a new minivan to keep
your family safe and sound, head in to Keyes Cars today here in Van Nuys, CA.
We’ve got a great selection of new vehicles for you to check out, like the 2017 Honda
Odyssey. Packed with great features to help you avoid collisions, the Honda
Odyssey provides added confidence when you hit the road.
Some of the biggest dangers when you’re
driving come from the things you can’t see. That’s why the engineers at Honda
have worked hard to give you as complete a picture of your surroundings as
possible. The Honda Odyssey features one of the most helpful features we’ve
seen: Honda LaneWatch™. With Honda LaneWatch, when you flip on your right turn
signal, a small camera displays live video feed on your Intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) screen to reveal
nearly four times more than the passenger-side mirror alone. The Blind Spot
Information System is another great tool to have, giving you a heads up when it
detects a vehicle in your blind spot. And your last set of extra eyes comes in
the form of the Rearview Camera with Guidelines, giving you a clear look at
what’s behind you from three angles: normal, top-down, and wide.
In the 2017 Honda Odyssey, tell your
co-pilot they can take a nap. With advanced features to monitor possible
collisions and lane departure, you’ve got all the help you need. Forward
Collision Warning (FCW) lets you know immediately if you’re in danger of
colliding with the car ahead of you. Lane Departure Warning (LDW) uses a small
camera to track lane markings, alerting you when it detects an un-indicated
lane departure.
In the Honda Odyssey, you’re in good
hands.

Take the Advice of Consumer Guide® and Drive a New Hyundai SUV
The 2017
Hyundai Santa Fe and 2017
Hyundai Santa Fe Sport took home the 2017 Consumer Guide® Automotive
Best Buy Award in the Midsize Crossover/SUV category. With power, strength, and
style to spare, it’s easy to see the appeal of these standout SUVs.
The 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe and Hyundai Santa Fe Sport feature an update
of Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design that makes them practically leap off the
lot. An aerodynamic exterior design helps to cut down on wind resistance and
boost efficiency. And the available Hands-free Smart Liftgate just makes life
easier. Stand within three feet behind the vehicle for more than three seconds
with the Proximity Key on your person and it’s “open sesame!” With a
height-adjustable feature that allows you to stop the tailgate at various
heights, and the capability to let you access more than 70 cubic feet of cargo
space with ease, this is a feature you’ll never want to be without.
Available Active Cornering Control All Wheel Drive (AWD) is another
great tool to have at your disposal. The system boosts traction and cornering
capability by transferring engine torque to the rear wheels while applying
braking force to the inside rear wheel. This is a great feature all of the
time, but it comes in especially handy on slick roads. Both vehicles feature
Hyundai’s 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC®, which
works to balance power delivery with fuel efficiency.
One of our favorite features here at Keyes Cars is the ability to
choose between Eco, Normal, and Sport driving modes, allowing you to optimize
your vehicle for every ride. Head in to our dealership near Los Angeles, CA
today to learn more about these great Hyundai SUVs.

Do More in a New Honda SUV
The Honda brand has always made some of the most
reliable vehicles on the road. And while most folks know the automaker for
their sedans, like the Honda Accord and Honda Civic, more and more drivers are
coming to our dealership near Glendale, CA to test drive a new Honda SUV. And
they’re not the only ones taking notice of these standout SUVs. Earlier this
month, both the 2017 Honda
CR-V and the 2017 Honda
HR-V won their respective categories in U.S News & World Report’s 2017
Best Cars for the Money awards.
The 2017 Honda CR-V was named the 2017
Best Car for the Money in the Compact SUV category. And that’s not the only
award the vehicle has earned. During Car and Driver’s 2017 10Best Trucks and
SUVs award, the Honda CR-V was named the Best Compact SUV. And while the Honda
Accord and Honda Civic may steal the spotlight, the Honda brand is certainly not the “new
kid on the block” when it comes to SUVs. On the contrary, the Honda CR-V has
been America’s best-selling SUV over the past two decades. The fifth-generation
2017 model offers a stylish exterior, a wealth of convenient interior features
like a heated front seat and rear USB charging ports, and the adaptability you
need to accommodate whatever the day demands.
The 2017 Honda HR-V was named the 2017
Best Car for the Money in the subcompact SUV segment, marking the second
consecutive year that the Honda SUV has taken home the award. One of the best
parts about this rugged crossover is its versatility. The interior can be
configured in Long Mode, Tall Mode, and Utility Mode to cut down on your trips
to and from the front door. High-tech features boost comfort and safety,
helping this Honda vehicle check all the right boxes.

2017 Hyundai Sonata Declared Best Car for the Money
When you head in to a Keyes Cars dealership, you want
your money to go far. It’s easy to get caught up in bells and whistles that
take you beyond what you need, and beyond what you budgeted for. But you don’t
want a car that’s “cheap.” After all, you’re going to be driving your new car
every day. You need something you can count on. What you’re after, then, is
“value.” That’s the name of the game. But how do you narrow your choices down?
Well, first and foremost, you’ve got the great staff at our dealerships here
near Woodland Hills, CA to point you in the right direction.
And now, you have
some help from U.S. News & World Report as well. They have a long history
of doing their research and helping readers make the best choices when faced
with their biggest decisions, whether that’s which college to apply to or which
car to buy. And according to them, the 2017
Hyundai Sonata is the Best Midsize Car for the Money. Intrigued? We thought you
might be.
The midsize car segment is one of the
auto industry’s most competitive fields. The Hyundai Sonata faced off against
18 other foreign and domestic midsize sedans in U.S. News & World Report’s
search. And they came out at the front of the pack. The magazine formulates its
rankings by compiling quantity and value data to create an unbiased composite
score. Among the variables that led them to their selection were the Hyundai
Sonata’s impressive quality and versatility, and the fact that “usable
technology litters the [Hyundai] Sonata's lengthy list of standard and optional
features."
Here’s Brandon Ramirez, senior group
manager, Product Planning, Hyundai Motor America, on the accolade:
“The recognition by U.S. News & World Report highlights out commitment to providing better for our customers. From technology to driver experience to overall performance, we are proud to have the Sonata represent the standard of value in this class.”
But that’s what everybody else thinks.
Head in to our dealership today and tell us what you think. And don’t forget
about the rest of the great automobiles we have for sale. Make your money go
the distance in a brand-new Hyundai vehicle.
