The 2017 Lexus IS sports sedan is now available, and to celebrate the debut of their hot new vehicle, Lexus created a custom edition: the Lexus Sriracha IS. If you like spicy foods, you’re no stranger to the thick red hot sauce in the squeezable bottle. With this special edition, Lexus has bottled that spicy flavor inside the body of an automobile.

So what do you get inside the Lexus Sriracha IS? Right away, you’ll notice the Sriracha Red paint job, complete with flecks chili-like flakes. Designed to mimic the delicious hot sauce, Lexus went so far as to actually add some in to the paint itself! And that’s just the beginning. To create the steering wheel, a Sriracha-like liquid was cast in resin and formed into a Lexus steering wheel. The steering wheel comes complete with a “Hot Handling” warning.
This special edition ride is about more than just good looks. The seat warmers and AC/heating system got an upgrade to help them take the interior from cool to Sriracha hot. Even better? Sriracha mode tunes the powertrain for faster gear changes and more dynamic throttle mapping. Our favorite feature here at Keyes Cars is the fully stocked trunk. It’s loaded to the brim with 43 bottles of Sriracha.
