Sound absorbing materials were placed in the wheel wells to keep the sounds of the wheels and tires outside. To further isolate the cabin from road and engine noise, the heavy-layer density and foam efficiency of the carpet was increased. Thicker windshield glass was used to lessen the acoustic impact of rain, wind, and other vehicles.

 

Plenty of other innovations help the 2018 Hyundai Elantra stand out from the crowd, like the aircraft-quality adhesives used throughout the vehicle. These adhesives boost strength and integrity, and even help to reduce weight.

One of our favorite new features is Easy Access Seating. When you turn the engine off, the driver’s seat automatically moves back a few inches to give you extra room to exit. The seat stays in that pulled-back position to make it easier to get in, then moves back to your original driving position once you start the car.

Another great feature? Dynamic Bending Light. The engineers at Hyundai created a system that automatically moves the headlights in sync with the steering wheel, providing greater illumination when turning. That windy, late-night drive just got a lot less treacherous.
