2017 Hyundai Ioniq Named Finalist for Green Car of the Year®
Green Car Journal provides
enthusiastic coverage of automobiles, energy, and the environment. The annual
Green Car of the Year® award is the publication’s highest honor. Each year,
vehicles are evaluated on the basis of raising the bar for environmental
performance. Factors considered include efficiency, performance
characteristics, ‘newness,’ affordability and overall environmental achievement.
With these factors in mind, a jury panel of Green Car Journal editors, leaders from other notable
environmental and efficiency organizations, and well-known auto enthusiast Jay
Leno select a winner. The recipient of the 2018 Green Car of the Year award
will be announced on November 30th and the 2017 Hyundai Ioniq is one
of only four remaining finalists.
